On July 30, Kaplow employees traveled 90 miles outside of New York City to Project Morry, a year-round youth development organization that provides to each child a multi-year commitment anchored by a superb residential summer camp experience.
For Kaplow employees, the day trip to Morry’s Camp is part of an annual company effort to help the young adults involved in Project Morry achieve their educational and career goals. The children, for whom these experiences would not otherwise be available, benefit from a network of support and gain increased social skills, enhanced self-esteem, positive core values and a greater sense of personal responsibility.
The day kicked off with presentations of Kaplow’s cause-related work to a group of 60 campers. Kaplow presented case studies on Blue Planet Run, BRIDES Magazine, Burlington Coat Factory, eBay World of Good and LeapFrog.
The goal of the afternoon session was to put together a Project Morry newspaper – complete with articles about Kaplow’s case studies, artwork, photography and a creative layout. After sharing their projects, each camper took home a copy of the newspaper – hot off the press!
