Kaplow Opens West Coast Office

Kaplow Communications today announced the opening of a new West Coast office, Kaplow West, in San Francisco. Kaplow is expanding beyond its New York headquarters to extend greater support to its current clients located on the West Coast. This move will further build upon the agency’s already strong consumer technology and digital services roster and its demonstrated expertise in translating complex technology into brand stories that mainstream consumers can understand and embrace. Kaplow West will open on July 1, 2010 and will be located in the South of Market neighborhood in San Francisco.

“The time is right for Kaplow to expand to the West Coast,” said Liz Kaplow, CEO, Kaplow Communications. “Over the last two decades, Kaplow has remained true to our vision of handling best-in-class brands by focusing on bringing our results-driven expertise to our clients. We wanted to reinforce this commitment to our current and potential West Coast clients with an office and team in place to support them locally.”

Leading the Kaplow West team is new hire Nissa Anklesaria, Senior Vice President. A seasoned communications professional with a 15-year career primarily focused around consumer technology, Anklesaria was most recently responsible for corporate and consumer communications at BabyCenter, the leading global resource for parents. Prior to BabyCenter, Anklesaria spent eight years at Yahoo!, directing corporate communications for several business divisions, including Advertising and Media. Nissa has also worked at OpenTable, Inc. and broadcast.com which was acquired by Yahoo! in 1999.

“Nissa’s extensive corporate communications experience in Silicon Valley over the last decade is a strong addition to the Kaplow leadership team, and she will be a great asset to the agency and our clients on both coasts,” added Kaplow.

“I am thrilled to join Kaplow and work with so many best-in-class brands,” said Anklesaria. “Many things drew me to Kaplow, among them the agency’s ability to retain key talent inside the organization, which to me is a hallmark of a strong business.”
