Skype Sponsors Conference of Nobel Laureates

On October 5-6, the Elie Wiesel Foundation and New York City’s 92nd Street Y hosted the 2011 Conference of Nobel Laureates, which brought together brilliant thinkers and changemakers from around the world to discuss the evolution of leadership in this century. Kaplow client, Skype, sponsored the event.

On Wednesday, Skype video was utilized to bring the Israeli Ambassador to Washington, Michael Oren, into a conversation about the geopolitical challenges facing the Middle East. Later that evening, the conference concluded with a public conversation between Elie Wiesel and David Axelrod, Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama. Over the course of two hours, they discussed many pressing religious, political and moral issues that face our world today, and also answered brilliant questions asked by an award-winning ethics grad student via Skype.
